Large jackpots can be denied—and have been denied—if a check shows the random numbers on the internal computer chip don’t match the winning symbols on the reels. But this is extremely rare. If the RNG has spit out a random number that tells the first reel to stop on a single bar, then you’re going to get a single bar—regardless of whether you hit the button a second time for a “quick stop,” or just let them take their own sweet time. There are rare exceptions. Quick hit slot machine tricks that work. The engineering is good enough that almost all the time, the RNG and reel display are going to match up. This doesn’t change if you double-hit the bet button.

Poker Math That Matters Download Free
Poker math is NOT rocket science. The basics of calculating poker odds are actually quite simple and only require knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. If you made it past the 5th grade, you can learn to figure “pot odds” in no time. Personally, I played no limit Texas Holdem for YEARS without knowing ANY of this. - For those of you who are, or at one time were, somewhat new to the math involved, which book would make the best 'textbook'? In other words, if there were a course on poker math taught through the math department of your local college (which I am actually thinking about trying to do), what book would best accompany that?
- For someone with no idea about the math behind poker, I'd advice:
Essential Poker Math - Fundamental No Limit Hold'em Mathematics You Need To Know by Alton Hardin (on Amazon)
Also a new expanded version has been released too - I agree the math part is very simple. The matters part is what important in the book. I read it about 5 years ago, and even though i'm pretty good at math, the matters part, where to concentrate the math was exactly what I need at that point.
I also liked the fact that Owen splits his thinking into two books. Math that matter, what you do when you take a hand home, and plan how your going to play. And his other book,
Hole card Confessions, that discuses what you do at the table.
Neither book are the end all of poker or destined to become must reads IMO, but they do give a good frame work for thinking and improving your poker game and helped mine a lot.
